Services We Offer
With some of the region’s most advanced equipment and modern technology, VLS Plaquemine Point provides an extensive range of marine services for vessels of all sizes. Several of the areas we specialize in include:

• Marine Vapor Control: Flammable liquids with vapor pressures over 0.5 PSI can emit volatile organic compounds (VOC) that require cleaning. Our marine vapor control unit can effectively and safely destroy these potentially harmful vapors found during the hydrocarbon loading process.
• Minor Topside Repairs: VLS offers various spot services for smaller vessels with repair issues. We have the most modern tools at our state-of-the-art facility to tackle issues upwards from the hull above the waterline. Examples include painting, steel repair, crane service, and preventive maintenance.
• United States Coast Guard (USCG) Inspections: We perform regular USCG inspections to provide annual certification. USCG inspections have 15 vessel safety checkpoints, from pollution prevention and hull inspection to electrical and lifesaving systems.
